Sorcerer's Den - Fine Magazines Shop in Bath

I swear that magic led me to a small street in Bath yesterday, while I was killing time, waiting for a train to London.

It was just a street, full of cafes offering Egg Royal, Egg Benedict and creamed tea at inflated prices, and just towards the end, there's a shop. If I close my eyes, I can imagine it being in Milan or perhaps another prosperous Italian city where it lived happily until, undercover of night and in the middle of a terrible storm, someone extracted it and shipped in a container to Bath.

So, here it is, untraumatised by the experience, still sporting its Italian inspired name and signage, a fine magazines "gallery"!

The strong magic literally pulled me in and I felt assaulted by the aroma of exotic places, the sounds only a hungry soul can hear and dazzling display of colours and shapes that only a light depraved eye can appreciate.

"Are you looking for anything in particular?" - a sweet female voice from the back of the store and behind the shelves helpfully enquired.

I didn't know how to put into words that I was looking for everything in particular, so simply said no.

Then verbally stumbled and unnecessarily volunteered that I'm in Bath on a bicycle and had no means of carrying a bagful of glossy magazines.

"Do you mind if I take a picture?" "Sure, just go ahead!"

So here I am, snapping away and thinking how I still enjoy a good magazine and how it was all we had as children, craving for exotic places and things we couldn't afford.

The name of the business and contact details in the photos. They do mail order!
